Summer allows everyone to play hooky from life for a while. The season lets you kick back and relax with a drink in your hand while you soak up the day. Since soaking up the day also means soaking up the rays, you want that drink to be cold, crisp and refreshing. With that in mind here are five mixed drinks you can serve at your next summer get together.
- Mermaid Water
There’s something about summer that says magic…and the beach. This water-fairy inspired cocktail makes all those that sip on it feel like they could grow a beautiful tale and hop in the water because surely this is the drink of mermaids themselves.

For years a classic summer drink has been Sex on the Beach—and still is mind you—and as such it inspired a D.N.C.E. song “Cake by the Ocean” thanks to a lost in translation moment with one of their songwriters. So, it was only a matter of time before the new slogan would get a drink of its own. The drink has a personality all to itself.
